About Swaranjani
Swaranjani exists because Indian Music was never built to fit inside “modules” and “completion percentages.”
Why we exist
This music is organised around raags and taals, learned through daily, disciplined riyaaz, and assessed by a guru who actually knows your voice. Every generic learning platform can host a video and sell it. None of them can tell you your shruti is flat, keep a taal for you while you practise a taan, or hold you to a standard a real guru would respect.
That gap, meaning pitch-and-rhythm-aware practice tools, a raag-first way of organising what you learn, and a guru-shishya-shaped feedback loop, is what Swaranjani is built around.
We would rather tell you honestly what is not built yet than dress up a feature that does not exist.
You will see that reflected across the product: where a feature is not ready, we say so, and we do not show a social-proof number unless it is real.
What it is built around
Curricula organised by raag and taal, not by module count.
Recorded lessons in a fixed order, with notes, that you can return to whenever you need.
Scheduled classes with a guru, tied to attendance, recordings and homework.
A guru-shishya feedback loop: you submit, a guru answers.
Progress is lessons completed and feedback a teacher actually wrote.

Classes and the platform
The teaching. Swaranjani teaches Indian Music the traditional way: a guru who listens, corrects and sets the next step. Swaranjani's music teacher is Sudhir Prasad Singh.
The platform. This website is the software we are building to carry that teaching to students who cannot sit in the same room: structured lessons, live classes on Google Meet and written feedback from the guru. It supports the teacher. It does not replace one.
The platform is still being developed and is being tested before wider use. See what is built today and what is still planned.
Our long-term aim is simple: a serious student, wherever they live, should be able to learn Indian Music from a real guru.
